Anxiety & Anger

Rooted in Survival Patterns

Anxiety and Anger Rooted in Survival Patterns

Schedule Free Consultation

Eligibility Snapshot:

Licensed Florida LMHC providing private-pay telehealth therapy to adults experiencing anxiety, chronic overwhelm, or anger reactivity rooted in long-term stress or survival patterns; not crisis stabilization or emergency psychiatric care.

Provider Identification & Licensure & Location Requirements

I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) licensed in Florida. I provide telehealth therapy to clients who are physically located in Florida.

I may provide telehealth services to clients physically located in South Carolina when legally permitted under South Carolina regulations for out-of-state clinicians. Eligibility is confirmed prior to scheduling, and services are not guaranteed in all cases.

Services are provided via telehealth. This is a private-pay focused service. Select insurance plans may be accepted for individual outpatient therapy. See main page for details.

Primary Fit

This service is for adults who feel chronically anxious, emotionally reactive, or quick to anger and want to understand and shift the underlying survival patterns driving those responses.

This may include generalized anxiety, panic attacks or panic disorder, chronic stress reactivity, or patterns of anger escalation that interfere with work or relationships.

Many of my clients replay conversations, anticipate worst-case scenarios, struggle to relax, or feel constantly on edge. Others notice snapping quickly, escalating arguments, or feeling intense frustration followed by regret. This work focuses on nervous system regulation, emotional clarity, and sustainable behavioral change.

When This Work Is a Good Fit

This work is often a strong fit when:
  • Your mind feels constantly busy, scanning for problems or threats

  • You feel easily overwhelmed by stress, noise, conflict, or responsibility

  • You react quickly in anger and regret it later

  • You experience strong self-criticism about being “too much,” “too sensitive,” or “too reactive”

  • You are willing to examine patterns and practice new regulation skills between sessions

When This Work Is Not the Right Fit

This may not be the best fit if:

  • You are experiencing active suicidal thoughts, severe self-harm behaviors, or psychiatric instability requiring higher-level care

  • You require medication management without psychotherapy

  • You are seeking court-ordered evaluations or forensic documentation

  • You are unwilling to explore how your own patterns contribute to relational conflict

If a higher level of care is needed, I will recommend appropriate referrals.

Therapeutic Approach & Style

My approach is steady, structured, and grounded in nervous system science. Anxiety and anger are treated as learned survival responses — not character flaws.

I use practical, evidence-based tools to help you:

  • Understand what your anxiety or anger is protecting

  • Build regulation skills that reduce reactivity in real time

  • Create space between trigger and response

  • Strengthen boundaries that reduce chronic overload

  • Communicate in ways that decrease escalation

This work may draw from CBT, DBT-informed skills, mindfulness, and trauma-informed approaches, always applied to your specific stress patterns.
The goal is not to eliminate emotion, but to help you respond from steadiness rather than reflex.

Credentials & Experience

I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) with experience supporting adults experiencing chronic anxiety, emotional reactivity, and stress-related overwhelm.

This work is outpatient psychotherapy for adults and does not replace psychiatric care, emergency services, or specialized anger-management programs required by courts.

Strong Match Indicators

You may be a strong match for this work if:

  • You feel tired of living in constant fight-or-flight mode

  • You want practical tools, not just insight

  • You are willing to examine triggers honestly

  • You are ready to build steadiness rather than chase perfection

Summary

I help adults who feel anxious, overwhelmed, or quick to anger understand and regulate the survival patterns driving those reactions. This includes building nervous system regulation skills, improving communication, and reducing shame around emotional intensity.
