Individuals Navigating Substance Use and Recovery

Substance Use Recovery Therapy in Florida

Schedule Free Consultation
Recovery is not just about stopping a behavior — it is about rebuilding internal steadiness after long periods of survival-based coping. I provide substance use recovery therapy in Florida for adults who are motivated to examine patterns, prevent relapse, and develop sustainable emotional regulation.

You’re Tired of Starting Over.

You meant it this time.

You told yourself this would be the last relapse.
The last lie.
The last time you’d disappoint someone — or yourself.

You wake up determined.
By evening you’re negotiating again.

And afterward?

The shame.

The “What is wrong with me?”
The “Why can’t I just stop?”
The quiet fear that maybe you’re just broken.

You’re not.

You Were Surviving.

Substance use often begins as survival.

Numbing something unbearable.
Turning down anxiety.
Escaping shame.
Getting through the day.

Your nervous system adapted.

What once helped you cope may now be keeping you stuck --
but that doesn’t make you defective.

You are not broken.

You learned to survive.

Now we build stability.

How This Work Unfolds

Healing isn’t about willpower alone.

It unfolds in stages.

Break Free

We begin by breaking shame’s grip.

You say it out loud — the urges, the lies, the fear, the ambivalence.

Instead of judgment, you’re met with steady accountability and compassion.

We untangle survival from identity.

Substance use is something you do.
It is not who you are.

Spread Your Wings

From steadiness, clarity builds.

You learn what your triggers are actually protecting.
You build coping tools that regulate your nervous system — not just distract it.
You begin rebuilding trust in yourself.

Boundaries shift.

With substances.
With people.
With old patterns.

Support becomes intentional.

Not reactive.

and Soar!

Recovery becomes less about white-knuckling
and more about grounded choice.

You make decisions from strength, not shame.

You recognize that relapse, if it happens, is information — not proof you’re broken.

Hope becomes steady.

Not because life is easy.

But because you know how to stand in it.

You were never broken.

You were surviving.

Now you rise from solid ground.

If You're Feeling Ready

If you’re ready to approach recovery differently --
with steadiness instead of shame --

I invite you to schedule a consultation.

You don’t have to have it all figured out.

You just have to be willing to start.

I’ll meet you there.

FAQs

1. Do I have to be fully committed to sobriety to start therapy?

No. Ambivalence is part of the process. We can work with wherever you are — even if you’re unsure.

2. Will you judge me for relapsing?

No. Relapse is information, not proof that you’re broken. We approach it with honesty and accountability — not shame.

3. Is therapy just talking about my past?

No. We look at the past when it’s helpful, but we focus heavily on building present-day regulation and coping tools.

4. What if I’ve tried therapy before and it didn’t work?

That doesn’t mean you can’t build something different now. The fit and approach matter.

5. What if I feel ashamed?

Shame is common in recovery. It’s also workable. You don’t have to carry it alone.
